Community

Florida's Drug Free Community Coalitions take people power to the max. They bring people from all walks of life together to promote drug-free and healthy lives for children and teens in their communities. Because they know their communities' needs, they are able to build a broad base of support and promote collaboration that will bring lasting results.

The Department of Children and Families and the Governor's Office of Drug Control have developed a number of media campaigns to bolster communities' prevention efforts. These include the new Be the Wall campaign, which has its own Web site, and the Coaches with Character program, which honors coaches who are making a difference in kids' lives.

Available media developed by Clear Channel Florida include, radio and streaming audio spots, web site banners, posters, billboard ads and written materials. Click on the Media tab to preview the campaigns and available media.

See Media Contacts for a list of the state and regional Clear Channel Florida media representatives. To request campaign materials, complete a creative request form.

More details about the how these coalitions work can be found at the Drug Free Communities Support Program Web site sponsored by the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The site is designed for Drug Free Communities grant recipients and other community prevention practitioners.
